General Questions
Do I have to know anything about "Heroes" to join?
- No, absolutely not. You could have never watched a single episode and you'll still be able to play in this game. Any element we use from the series will be fully explained, so it will be just like any other game.
But there are canon characters! What will I do?!
- Treat them as original characters. You don't go into any other game knowing anything about the characters you're playing with, so just treat it like the same sort of situation. Everyone is required to have a full biography and the same sort of information filled out about their characters - original or canon - so everyone will have the same amount of information available for other players to read.
Does the world know about evolved humans having abilities?
- No. The government is currently working to round them up as quietly as possible. Anyone with abilities, if they're smart, will be trying to keep a low profile and stay under the radar.
Gameplay Questions
How do the journals work?
- Just like any other online journaling system. Your character can update as if they were updating on LJ or IJ, etc.
Can characters see icons?
- No. Icons are more for the players' benefit in threading than anything else. Your characters won't be able to see icons others use.
What about private posts, entries, and strike-outs?
- You can make an entry private or filter it to an individual/group by marking whatever part you would like filtered as [Private: Character Name] or something along those lines.

Strike-outsCANNOT be seen by characters. They're purely to give further insight into a character for the players' sake. It's as if the character wrote it out and then deleted it.
Character Questions
Can my character have more than one ability?
- No. One basic ability per character; this prevents things from getting too out of hand. The only exception is Matt Parkman.
Can my character have an ability that isn't on the list?
- No. We currently have over 70 abilities available to choose from, so you should be able find one to your suiting relatively easily.
Can my character be a former member of The Company?
- Sure! You can choose to play an evolved member or someone without abilities; the choice is up to you. Former members of The Company are definitely welcome.
Can my character be a former employee of Pinehearst?
- Yes! Whether they're were a scientist working as part of Pineheart's biotech front or if they were an evolved human working on Pinehearst's hidden agenda, we defintely welcome more past Pinehearst employees.
Can I play a canon characters?
- Yes, but you'll have to incorporate any history that has been attached to the character during the course of the game. Until a canon character is applied for, they are used in an NPC capacity and should you choose to pick up any canon character, you are obligated to keep that history.
Are identical twins/triplets/etc. allowed with the same PBs?
- Yes. You are allowed identical siblings and the PBs do not have to be twins/triplets/etc. in real life.
Game 'Verse Questions
What is The Company, and why is it important?
- The Company is exactly that: it's a company that has taken a keen interest in locating and tracking evolved humans (those with abilities). You can read more about it here.
What is Pinehearst, and why is it important?
- Pinehearst is a biotech company that has recently gained notoriety among the public eye. You can read more about it here.
Wiki Questions
Why is the wiki named "Seven Percent" if the game is called "The Most Dangerous Game"?
- Because this wiki is recycled from an old Heroes RPG that existed a few months back. It would be a shame to waste a good wiki, so we're just living in its shell. Like a hermit crab. Or something.
Do I have to make a page on the wiki for my character?
- No. While we strongly encourage it, it isn't mandatory. It would just be very helpful in keeping all the information in a nice, orderly set up and it would help to make any info more readily available to members and potential members.
